Not Knowing & Knowing

Not knowing, birth comes to be.

Knowing, the world appears.

Not knowing, I come to birth.

Knowing, I think, speak, and act.

Not knowing, life simply is.

Knowing, I and others come to be.

Not knowing, seeking continues.

Knowing, happiness comes and goes.

Not knowing, pleasure is grasped.

Knowing, relief through letting go.

Not knowing, heaven and hell await.

Knowing, journey on the Path begins.

To know that I know what I know.

I do not know what I do not know.

Yet I may know what I do not know.

Only by knowing that I do not know.

And so—

Known knowns,

Unknown unknowns,

Known unknown,

Unknowns known.

Not knowing is not nothing.

Knowing too is not nothing.

Not knowing what is known and unknown.

And knowing what is known and unknown.

Knowing too is not knowing.

But not knowing is not knowing.

Seemingly the same, yet not quite.

Is there a knowing of what is know?

Only Know.

And so it Is.

In the know.
