Your contribution can also come in the form of offering help and service to WISE. Hence, WISE volunteers are practitioners themselves who have freely and willingly committed themselves to promoting the good work of the organization so as to benefit more people. Their contribution doesn’t come with any price for they offer their services voluntarily and selflessly.

It’s easy to make a buck. It’s a lot tougher to make a difference. It is in this spirit that volunteers come forward to help out in the activities organized by WISE.

Why Volunteer with WISE?

It is only in the giving of oneself to others that we truly live. Many a time we think that it is in acquiring that we are happy. In reality, the opposite is true. It is by rendering service and helping those in need that we reap the rewards of the heart. Not only do we grow in understanding but virtues such as kindness, compassion and countless more will blossom from the heart as one volunteers to help out in any way possible. In the words of Mother Theresa, `We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.’

To reach out to more people, WISE needs a team of volunteers to see to many aspects of the running of its activities. They cover maintenance of the buildings, drawing up retreat programmes, hosting and conducting retreats, transcribing, editing and a host of other administrative work. We need volunteers who come forward voluntarily to offer service depending on your skills and field of interest. Even amateurs and newbies are most welcome for it is in the willingness to learn that we help ourselves as well as others. Manpower is just as important as financial support.

Opportunities

Event Based

The individual shall organize and host courses and retreats via zoom. The word ‘organize’ encompasses basically everything 😊. But do not fret as you will be guided and more importantly have the opportunity to work with a bunch of cool and lovely people who support each other.

Digital and Creative

A good opportunity to manifest your artistic expressions in poster, page, website composition creating the ideal layout for the reader to follow. Not only that, you get to be involved in data management to discover how best and creative the data can serve its purpose.

Content Writer

If you have a knack for alphabets, this is the place you are looking for. You are invited to write inspiring contents for promotional event posters, websites, and blog posts. Editing write-ups and sorting through testimonials all-inclusive.

Maintenance Crew

If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves or have green fingers to spruce up the centres making them safe and comfortable, do come forward. Your help is most welcome and greatly appreciated.
